Super Choco Taco
Prep time: 5 minutes || cook time: 45 minutes || total time: 50 minutes
It’s the shit that’s better than the school vending machines. Does anybody remember these beautiful creations? Well I do. At lunch, in school, it would be a little reward for getting through the day. Nowadays, kids don’t get to enjoy the creamy, chocolaty satisfaction of one because it’s not “healthy,” WHATEVS, clearly they are missing out and need a flashback to this awesomeness going on.
Super Choco Taco Recipe
- 1 PACKAGE SMALL TORTILLAS
- 1/4 CUP CINNAMON SUGAR
- 1 CAN SPRAY BUTTER
- 1 CONTAINER ICE CREAM
- 6 OZ SEMI-SWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS
- ASSORTED NUTS, SPRINKLES ETC.
First things first, heat the oven to 350. Then proceed to spray the flour tortilla with the butter. On each tortilla, buttered side, sprinkle cinnamon sugar so it’s evenly coated. Once you finished fold over the cinnamon sugar to the inside, I put a rolled up foil ball in the middle so it would be easier to get the ice cream in once it baked. Bake 10 minutes or until crispy, give another 10 minutes to cool then begin stuffing the delicious tacos with your favorite ice cream. Yes, Ben & Jerry’s is my favorite too! Once all are filled wrap the tacos in plastic wrap and freeze until hard, I’d give it 30-35 minutes. Right before the tacos are done chilling start getting the melted chocolate together. Some people like to use extra butter or corn syrup to make their chocolate shiny, totally option but I found out that I didn’t need that. Dip all the tacos in the chocolate and sprinkle on desired topping, place on wax paper and put back in freezer until hard. ENJOY!
XOXO, SWEETENED GOSSIP
